In a world where all businesses and friendships were bought up, she came forth and said, “You deserve better.” With a promise to deliver something better, Kartistry declared, “One of these nano-droids in design will create the ship.”

The speakers in their office space hummed Mozart as Kartistry glanced at her timepiece. Lucid teased, “Why are you looking at that watch? Are your neurons over or undercharged at this moment?”

Kartistry glanced at her watch again. “Why do you ask me questions you already know the answer to?” Her smile was contagious and Lucid reminded her of such on this occasion. 

Lucid grinned “And they said we would never reach this epoch. I hope you will excuse my having to skedaddle, there’s over 1,742 MECKS needing my attention.”

Kartistry smiled in response as Lucid dematerialized. As Kartistry watched the diagrams dance before her eyes, she calculated and wondered what lay beyond the earth’s stratosphere? A destination only a select few of natural humans were able to acquire permissions to travel for decades.

Remembering CommentLuv: A Blog Comment Plugin from Another Era

Some years ago, I did a podcast report on a WordPress plugin called CommentLuv. At this time, I no longer recall what title I originally gave that episode. But I do remember the plugin well. Kind regards, James

What CommentLuv Did?

CommentLuv was more than just a comment enhancement tool—it was a social incentive system for blog discussions. When someone left a comment and entered their website URL, the plugin would automatically fetch and display a link to their most recent blog post directly beneath their comment.

This small gesture of “link love” encouraged thoughtful engagement by rewarding visitors with a backlink to their own content.

Key features included:

  • Displaying the commenter’s latest blog post via their RSS feed.
  • Giving blog owners moderation tools over the displayed links.
  • Allowing customization of DoFollow/Nofollow settings.

What Happened to It?

As time passed, CommentLuv’s popularity declined, particularly between 2016 and 2018

  • Newer comment systems (like wpDiscuz, Jetpack Comments, and Thrive Comments) offered more secure and modernized features.
