Version and Section of Book: Prologue

Prologue

In a world where all businesses and friendships were bought up, she came forth and said, “You deserve better.” With a promise to deliver something better, Kartistry declared, “One of these nano-droids in design will create the ship.”

Lucid, probed, “Where are you taking it?” The diagrams that unfolded were not drawn on paper but woven through light, a blueprint that was

The speakers in their office space hummed Mozart as Kartistry glanced at her timepiece. Lucid teased, “Why are you looking at that watch? Are your neurons over or undercharged at this moment?”

Kartistry glanced at her watch again. “Why do you ask me questions you already know the answer to?” Her smile was contagious and Lucid reminded her of such on this occasion.

Lucid grinned “And they said we would never reach this epoch. I hope you will excuse my having to skedaddle, there’s over 1,742 MECKS needing my attention.”

Kartistry smiled in response as Lucid dematerialized. As Kartistry watched the diagrams dance before her eyes, she calculated and wondered what lay beyond the earth’s stratosphere? A destination only a select few of natural humans were able to acquire permissions to travel for decades.

Today on James Poeartistry Productions, I posted “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RECORD – KARTISTRY & LUCID.” This is my stance to emphasis how each and everyone of you; not only myself, deserve to have our writings, art, photography, etc protected for our benefit. Saying that anybody can make this or that is not a sound argument to me. Though we don’t have to reinvent the wheel, we have been using the mechanics of the wheel in helpful and lucrative ways for centuries. So much so that we may take the wheel for granted. What I like to bring out is this; There are many generous people who still reserves attribution at the very least for their work. Kind and Best regards, James Lynch CC: Kartistry (Secretary)

Remembering CommentLuv: A Blog Comment Plugin from Another Era

Some years ago, I did a podcast report on a WordPress plugin called CommentLuv. At this time, I no longer recall what title I originally gave that episode. But I do remember the plugin well. Kind regards, James

What CommentLuv Did?

CommentLuv was more than just a comment enhancement tool—it was a social incentive system for blog discussions. When someone left a comment and entered their website URL, the plugin would automatically fetch and display a link to their most recent blog post directly beneath their comment.

This small gesture of “link love” encouraged thoughtful engagement by rewarding visitors with a backlink to their own content.

Key features included:

  • Displaying the commenter’s latest blog post via their RSS feed.
  • Giving blog owners moderation tools over the displayed links.
  • Allowing customization of DoFollow/Nofollow settings.
  • Optional Twitter handle fields and keyword name usage (in premium versions).
  • A community-building feel that encouraged blog-to-blog conversations.

What Happened to It?

As time passed, CommentLuv’s popularity declined, particularly between 2016 and 2018

  • Newer comment systems (like wpDiscuzJetpack Comments, and Thrive Comments) offered more secure and modernized features.

Take these additional thoughts with you

CommentLuv was once a beloved plugin that sparked real engagement across the WordPress blogging space. Though it’s no longer active or maintained, its influence can still be seen in the way bloggers seek to reward participation and build community.

As time passed, CommentLuv’s popularity declined, particularly between 2016 and 2018. Several factors contributed to its downfall:

  • The plugin was plagued with security vulnerabilities and inconsistent support.
  • WordPress core updates began to outpace the plugin’s development, creating compatibility risks.

Today, CommentLuv is considered abandonware—no longer maintained, and not recommended for use on current WordPress installations due to potential security holes.

But here’s a thought: for all the talk about its vulnerabilities, one can’t help but reflect on how no other plugin has quite captured the elegance and community spirit that CommentLuv offered. It wasn’t just a tool—it was a gesture of goodwill, a way of saying â€œyour voice matters here, and so does your work.”

Frankly, those who let its security falter should have known better. Something so beautifully crafted and widely loved deserved better stewardship.

Perceptive Reader, This blog post was created between my real life experienced knowledge and the Google Gemini Artificial Intelligence Helper.

Best regards, James
