There was a time when you could make music without any critique until the final product. Any creative matter on this level should be this way. It’s not a rule; it just means if you feel the need to create alone, then you should be able to have that private space.
For one, it protects your work.
It also trains your mind with confidence in listening to your own spirit. How do you think the people who consider are the greats were able to create art and at times inventions.
When your mind is free I guarantee at the very least an original idea will come to you. Why is it original even though others may bring out an example of it being done before?
It’s original because the idea still came from the unique you.
