Recently, with students out for summer break, I’ve been looking for teaching tools that will help teenagers who are seriously interested in developing their skills in the Information Technology world.HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the default and still taught programming language for internet webpages. Before moving on to other languages, it really helps in the long run to get the basics down first. You will accumulate knowledge in your brain that will be laid as a foundation for you to build on top of like a house of Information Technology knowledge. Oh, you may forget this or that, but you will not forget the basics for a long time.
It will take a long time to Forget These Things
Like I mentioned in the first heading, you should not forget the basic. Here is a brief list of the basics:
● How to identify the document
● How to add a comment and why
● How to turn tags on and off
● What is a Titled tag
● What is the Body tag
● What is the paragraph tag
Introduction to HTML Programming
Here to also help you, is a class taught by Eli the computer guy, syllabus if you will, that will help you to understand what I have noted above and more.
It is very helpful for many people to read a book on a subject and have an instructor at the same time for questions and encouragement. An additional reason why Eli the Computer Guy’s “Introduction to HTML Programming” video will benefit you is because he takes into consideration the questions you would most likely ask and teaches them as he goes along. He also teaches in a repetition for emphasis style.  The 1 hour and 38 minutes video link is below.

Did you share the Spotify Playlist above?

For the new readers and listeners who this article caught the attention, then by all means read onward and have a beautiful day.

Are you a person who makes assessments for others? Let me elaborate, we are talking about resources. Yes, you are still here at the right reading article titled ‘4 Days of Sweet Surrender’ A Sage Return ‘Willing Gift.’

Would you not agree with the title and subtitle above, it allows room to elaborate and pontificate the subject?

With that being said, let us continue with ‘assessments’ and ‘resources’ as the foreword mentions, if you will; to this article.

What We Enjoy is a Commodity

Have you ever wondered just how many songs you listened to in your lifetime so far? You can be confident in saying that 99% of the people on the face of this world could not give you an exact number; nor is it necessary to know it for personal stats or edification of a song.

All the same I am asking the following questions of you at this time:

What types of music do you enjoy?
Do you have a favorite band?
Why do you think your choice of music is enjoyable; or yes, even important to you?

You will find in contemplation on the answer to the above questions that music and specific musicians (bands) are more than a DJ’s occupation to feel in a time-slot choice, it may be downright necessity for your quality of life enjoyment.

Against The Current

Here is where the band Against the Current comes to mind as an example of specific songs sticking with you. In fact, certain musical creations remain with our listening palate so much that we desire to keep this band’s channels in our subscribers list and more!

At this point in time, I am going to reference the following article that will explain further their music and this one writer, poet and podcaster interest in the band:

Commodity and Resources

Before I relate my assessment on the popularity of a group’s talents I want to share the following defining statements: A commodity, when it pertains to a human, is talking labor or services that can be purchase; in this case, I’m talking about Against the Current availability to play in venues or concerts around the world. When it comes to being viewed also as a valuable resource these are some of the following companies proud to have them on board with their mission statement objectives.

A) Guest House (Chrissy Costanza Host) is a VENN production exclusive
B) Rocksound online magazine
C) Did you know the following producers requested them for an important project?
Alex Seaver of Mako ( Songwriter and Producer)
Sebastien Najand ( Composer and Producer) Sept 22, 2017
Song: Legends Never Die

If you decide to research them further, and listen to the interviews, I guarantee you will understand why they are called Against The Current. In their general replies they felt when naming the band, they did not fit solely in one mode or genre of music– not heavy rock but, not contemporary mainstream either.

Now that you are aware of mine and other professionals interests, I am going to share one more point. Chrissy Costanza has a superb singing voice. You should hear her ballets. Have you ever heard her read aloud? Did you know she is also interested in speaking a few other languages during her travels to the orient?

Now my pontificating thoughts. You heard me state in the previous paragraphs I am a writer, poet and podcaster. Yet what is also enjoyable is creating narrated audiobooks! Not with my voice, mind you, but someone else’s fine quality voice and good reading skills. Yes, I can laugh at myself every time I tell someone that.

In my saved research and projects folder, There are a handful of professionals whose names I have in that list for an idea here or there. You are most likely saying, “I bet he has Chrissy Costanza’s name in that valuable research and projects folder!”

Well, all I will conclude with are these 4 statements in response:

1) I agree with Alex Seaver of Mako & Sebastien Najand assessment: “When we heard Chrissy’s voice, we knew there was something special right away.”

2) I started a project that certainly would fit with her talents and flare of personality.

3) What a commodity and resource to have as her resume already shows us.

4) All the same, there are now enough ATC articles and podcast topics at the Product of Culture website, that hopefully will always have a homely feeling for YOU Perceptive Readers and listeners!

Addendum

Thank you for reading this article and hopefully share it with everyone who follows ATC music. Around the same week this article was written in its final draft, but not publicly published; RockSound published, Chrissy Costanza: This Song Gave Me The Freedom To Be Angry Again, Chrissy Costanza’s personal thoughts on ATC new single that won’t save us.

I enjoyed reading it, and many of you perceptive readers will also appreciate the lead singer Chrissy Costanza’s take on the song.
Here are a couple of quotes and a link to the article with the video!

Chrissy Article Quote 1: “I’m not going to sit here and trash talk ‘Past Lives’, because I still will always love that record and the songs on it. But it was so safe, and so passive, and that isn’t what I wanted to say.”

Chrissy Article Quote 2: “But still, I had so many pent up emotions that were more than just that melancholy/moody space. It’s why playing a song like ‘Talk’ will always be therapeutic to me. Half singing/half yelling that chorus just for you to yell it right back at me is church for me. That song ends and I feel infinitely better than when it began. I wanted that feeling again.”

An Imitation of Life Are You Prepared for This Movie

An Imitation of Life Are You Prepared for This Movie

An Imitation of Life- Are You Prepared for This Movie?

September 6, 2012 was the original post date for this article

                Notes on Imitation of Life

1933 novel by Fannie Hurst

1934 First movie made

1959 Second movie made

In the year of 1933, Imitation of Life, a novel by Fannie Hurst (October 18, 1889 – February 23, 1968) became available for the public to read.

Imitation of Life was received well enough for two movies to be made. Keep this caveat in mind both films made theatrical adaptations to fit with the culture and director’s outlook of the times.

However, there are situations both films show with emotions and well thought-out directing. It moves you to ask the question, “Have I ever seen similar situations?” Case in point, observe your school and other social environments.

There are events in the story that involves a mother and the life course her daughter took because she did not want to be looked down upon by other people of a certain society.

You will probably find this film quite sad at times. There are also moments in the film that will make you say, “Yes, I’ve seen similar scenarios before.”

The mother (according to her knowledge) was a God fearing woman overflowing with love for her daughter. She showed an unbreakable attachment to her daughter, who was ashamed of her own mother due to the color of her skin.

“Huh, shouldn’t a mother’s and daughter’s skin color be the same?” You ask.   See picture for comparison.

Sarah Jane (1959 adaptation) did not appreciate the deep pain her mother felt as the very crowd of people she was trying to appease/imitate were the ones causing her to feel so oppressed.  ALERT! Some scenes will cause your blood pressure to rise.

In these films you see the mother’s attempt to comfort and console her daughter. Her mother wanted the best for her daughter. She wanted Sarah Jane to see that it is the person on the inside and not outward appearances that mattered. Sad to say, the daughter even placed stipulations on her mother before she would accept anymore help from her. The mother would have to help her daughter in ways that no one knew she was her mother. How heart wrenching some of these scenes are! The daughter would rather give her devotion to people who really didn’t accept her for who she was as a person, but cast aside someone who accepted and loved her dearly; her own mother!

Imagine, disavowing someone whose love for you is unmatched by others, but not appreciating them because they are not “cool” or with the “in crowd.”

Do some children act this way today with parents?

Do people act this way today with friends?

Do the masses knowingly or unknowingly act this way today towards the Grand  Creator?

Without giving away the whole movie, just know the daughter finally and remorsefully comprehended the deep love her mother showed her.

Have you taken the time to express your appreciation to the ones who have proven their unmatched love for you? It will warm their hearts if you let them know you are always thinking of them and not due to a gift they bestowed upon you.

Though there is a bigotry(directed strongly ) element to this movie, regular subscribers to this website know the stand the writers make on this issue.

“Humans are all the same (DNA) and from the 2 original parents. Granted, certain personalities try to find things to separate one another and skin color just happens to be the easiest to instigate such separations. Happily, it still does not change the fact that we are all viewed the same by our Grand Creator.”

Imitation of Life; though this movie does not use the graphic violence and language that is common today in many movies the nature of this film may not suite you. Mistreatment of a woman being struck by a man is in this movie.

Art and Music Laura Farre Rozada

Art and Music Laura Farre Rozada Depending on which maestro you are talking with and their interesting background culture, they will break the above 6 categories down on such a granular level that can leave your mind wondering for a bit.

Art and Music Laura Farre Rozada

In part 1 of Art and Music Journey in The Mind, it states: “Since there is a time for learning, exercise, and work; there is also certainly a time for (art and music) play.” Well, along with part 2 (Laura Farre Rozada) on this subject, there is an experience that I describe as superb! You can believe there are others who feel the same way.

First, let’s talk more about the next music section of this article.
Art and Music Journey in the Mind Part 2

There are more musical instruments than most people can readily name — can we say music college majors? How many of us know in depth these categories of instruments?

Keyboard
Guitar
Percussion
Brass
Bowed strings
Woodwind

If you are like me, the first three in the list subconsciously come to mind, while the others require more thought. Depending on which maestro you are talking with and their interesting background culture, they will break the above 6 categories down on such a granular level that can leave your mind wondering for a bit.

Do you have a favorite instrument? Do you know how to play it? If you have a social media account, feel free to share this article with the instrument you play. Hey, some of you can share it on Instagram with your recital or band photos.

Did you know this about the pocbooks.com commentaries?

The musicians highlighted here show skills in voice, instruments, and production. Their style is who they are and yet; like with most humans, own diverse qualities to varying degrees that encompass colors of warmth and connection.

Poetry – Instruments of the Soul
There are times when a guitar just will not do.
Those moments may be many or be few.
The flute may get the attention.
After a while, there is something else that could be mentioned.
The piano may be suggested to be so bold.
However, it is the harp’s ability to soothe the soul.
Piano Masterworks Alive Laura Farre Rozada

What a superb performance! Have you ever said that after a show? Please allow me to share with you a performance myself and about fifty to eighty (the comfortable seating venue) others were able to enjoy!

The award-winning pianist and mathematician

Laura Farré Rozada

She completed her Master of Music degree as the Royal College of Music in London.

The audience that night was cordially — lively and quite a few of them specialized in fields of technical, medical and music. One composer I had an opportunity to chat with after the performance stated Laura is of high quality and a “virtuoso.”

In my brief meeting with her, I found her personality to be in the same expressions of her moving pianist skills displayed that evening. What do I mean? Allow me to explain from some of my notes I jotted down. Though I had planned on just taking it all in for an evening of food, wine, good conversation, and music; when Laura Farré Rozada started playing, I could not help but pick up my pocket sized square journal to take notes.
Laura Farré Rozada First Album

The French Reverie is Laura’s first solo album
From Spain, France, Germany, Canada, Bulgaria, and UK; her performances have been well received. Remember the virtuoso comment mentioned.

These sentiments are elaborated on here…

Musicology and Symmetry merges with Laura Farré Rozada

The pianist Laura merges sounds, beats, and music; I am not just talking as a figure of speech either. There were times when she tapped on the piano like they were bongo drums. If you think I’m kidding, I’m not. I heard from three persons who get to enjoy the arts on this level every month of the year say, in so many words, she was a new experience for them.

What a classical experience!

Every keystroke pulsated through her face and cheeks. Laura’s fingers moves at the speed of twilight. Her lips curl to give the instruments voice.
As her hair joins the chorus, the flocks starts flowing to the unseen melody of the air! – Product of Culture

The above describes the opening of her performance’s first song.
Fractuals are Real in Her Music

A Professor in computer science while in conversation with me during intermission, stated: I started seeing fractals (Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales) in her music. Yet there is still quite something I’m still missing or looking for here.

My response with a lighthearted smile: “It is on a metaphysical and 5th dimension level.”

You could see the eureka light bulb come on in his head. “Yes, that is what I was looking for.”

Note in Details: I used the term metaphysical because I ascertained he would have more of a comprehensive view of what I was stating; rather than just saying my favorite word, “Spiritual.” The term 5th dimension also was referenced because from his expert analysis or opinion for some of his deeply contemplated expressions, you could discern he was in Quantum physics’ mode. To observe him during the performance before the intermission truly showed me the power and enlightening effect Laura’s music had on the audience.
More Listening Observations of this Pianist

Laura Farre Rozada allows every note, every vibration of molecules play out in parts of her composition.

See and hear her perform the music composition Sacrifice

There were moments when the anguish of this piece was on her face. The audience’s reaction had persons bowing their heads up and down not just in the rhythm; but yes, yes, I understand what your are saying. I feel what you are saying. One distinguish gentleman at certain pitches was placing his hands together… He closed his eyes… Was there dew drops of moisture on his eyelids?

Turning around to look at the audience, they were remembering family and events in their lives that meant a lot to them.
The Meaning We Realize

At moments, Laura would allow the last stroke of the keys fade away as she looks softly at them; it is though she is making love with music. Such a gift along with her excellent timing and precision, Laura Farre Rozada is a masterful pianist gem.
