A Rock Beautiful
When she beat up the first guy that tried to kiss her
They said she would be nothing but a Tom Boy so place her in a skirt
She fussed and frowned at every special event
Her relatives whispered around her prom no one will want to take a rock
You would do better to ask a box
But in time like all mothers knew
The toughness in her daughter would metabolize like sunshine blue
The roughness around her edges will stay as a protection
Never meant to be a forcefield blocking everyone
But as a shield to ward off foe while surrounding friend
The application of herbs and spices to her countenance from mother
Made every head turn and for that day they could see no other
Relatives now proudly chimed out loud Where is that Little Rock?
