Classic Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade)
- 6 cups thinly sliced apples (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp blend)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter, cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss to coat.
- Pour apple mixture into crust-lined dish. Dot with butter.
- Cover with second crust. Crimp edges and cut slits for steam.
- Bake 50-55 minutes until crust is golden and apples are tender.
- Let cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
