Welcome Perceptive Readers!
“A time to be silent and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:7). While much wisdom guides us toward peaceful and quiet resolutions, it is not entirely accurate, and indeed, it can be wishful thinking on the part of those who suggest you never need to act to reveal the Truth. Especially when your circumstances clearly show no one is even hearing or seeing you, compelling you to do what you can to stay alive.
The unfortunate fact is that far too many individuals have suffered unnecessarily over the years because they were persuaded to remain silent when their voices were desperately needed. There are indeed moments when the counsel to stay quiet serves a purpose, but a blanket application of this advice can have grave consequences, preventing vital truths from emerging and leaving individuals vulnerable.
Therefore, there are indisputably times when you must speak up. Such an act is not merely about individual survival but also about safeguarding others. This imperative resonates deeply with timeless wisdom, urging us to defend in some views what is right and in others view what is true. As we are reminded in Galatians 1:8-9, Matthew chapter 28, and 1 Peter 3:15-16, bearing witness to the truth, even when challenging, can profoundly save both yourself and those around you.
Have a pleasant meal this morning. Kind regards, James
