I’ve seen how being in charge really works. Not just in boardrooms or committees, but in every corner of life — even among thieves, so to speak.

Here’s the truth:

When someone really wants something to happen — and they have the means — it can happen in minutes. Not days. Not weeks. Not after an endless list of excuses.

Today’s example? I requested a complimentary ChatGPT subscription. If the will was there, it could have been granted immediately, no questions asked. I’ve seen it happen before, and not just to me.

It’s the same story in other situations. When someone is viewed as “in the know;”  whether as an influencer, a respected voice, or a person with deep spiritual knowledge — requests get honored fast. The difference is simple:

Those who value you act quickly.

Those who don’t hide behind excuses.

And here’s the part many miss — being in charge is not about people doing what they feel like doing for you. It’s about them following through on the things that actually matter, not just the ones that let them keep freeloading or siphoning your energy.

If they can move fast when it benefits them, they can move just as fast when it matters to you. Anything less is a choice — not a limitation.
