You will be entertained in ways that are considered fresh for the Disney movie Zootopia. The consensus for many who watched the film is positive.
Before you ask if I was standing outside the movie theater asking survey questions as people came out, the answer is “no.”
After watching the movie, I interviewed people who sat in my vicinity.
Note: They probably were wondering why I was writing in the dark, even during the hilarious scenes in the movie!
Professor’s voice: As an adult I watched the cartoon, I mean the animated movie, for professional reasons; of course.
The purpose of this review will not give away spoilers; however, the first five to eight minutes of the movie catches the attention by presenting the premise for the motives throughout the animated film. You see and understand Judy Hopps’ heart.
Bullying often has long range effects on a person. In this movie, one of the takeaways is to still stand up not just for yourself, but your friends. — You must use thinking ability and have the courage to do this.
In being aware of her surroundings throughout the movie, you see Judy Hopps use brain power, in a manner of speaking, to more than compensate for what some teased as her smaller stature.
Can we talk? The directors/technical animation crew implemented effects at times that made you feel the same height as the characters. The environment made You feel like you were looking up at giants. Then at other times, the perception senses had you looking down at the smaller creatures driving by you.
The youngin side of you may say, “Wheee!”
While the older side could remind you, “I’m here for the children.”
Nevermind you borrowed the neighbor’s children in order to attend the cartoon, I mean animation movie with your head held high!
(Chuckle)
No, in all seriousness, this movie addressed social issues of the day in a way that while the children are being entertained, the adults will say:
“I get where you are going with this.”
Opening Weekend Gross – Zootopia Movie Memories
The opening weekend gross for Zootopia is over 73 million dollars. This is a new opening weekend gross record for Disney’s animated films.

Challenges in the World of Zootopia
At this point, there must be untold numbers of comments and reviews on this Disney blockbuster opening weekend movie.
So is there anything I can share with you that you have not already heard without giving away spoilers?
The story’s narrative (as in the trailers) involves Judy Hopps (Bunny cop) and Nick Wilde (Fox) efforts to solve a crime which unexpectedly exposes them to something bigger that will affect the world.
Since animation can use anthropomorphic type characters, it allows Disney to address live social and cultural situations in ways that attract and keep a child’s attention.
This movie also covers challenges people face today in getting along with one another. You will experience just how fragile relationships can be when words are blown out of proportion or context. — Words really do mean something. Use them wisely to give the desired perception.
In the world of Zootopia, you see everyday situations you may have poked fun at yourself . Since the DMV scene is in the trailer, I will also highlight these points. The children will laugh, but some of the adults will rattle their popcorn containers by hysterical laughter. You know how slow some of these lines can be in specific departments. Be prepared, in Zootopia, you have the sloths running these departments. — Need I say more?

From predators to prey; from characters who hustle others to moments of direct honesty; this world of Zootopia shows these characteristics in different ways. — The audience noticed the efforts.
Interview with a three-year-old – Zootopia Movie Memories
Me: What did you like most about the movie Zootopia?
Three-year-old: The bunny
Me: Is there anything else you want to say?
Three-year-old: Looks at the mother.
Interview with the Mother of the three-year-old
Interviewer: What did you like most about the movie Zootopia?
The Mother: It was a cute movie. It resonates with me because (pointing to the three-year-old) her dad is a cop. I see what he goes through and know how he feels about matters.
Interviewer: Is there anything you didn’t like about the movie or would change? You don’t have to answer this question. (NOTE: I sometimes provide options to not answer questions so the person will not feel the need that they have to overly critique.)
The Mother: “No, like I said, it had me with the bunny being a cop. And my daughter liked it.”
Interview with an Adult Male
Interviewer: What did you like most about the movie Zootopia?
Male (23): It is a cute movie with a good message.
Interviewer: Is there anything you didn’t like about the movie or would change? You don’t have to answer this question.
Male (23): Honestly, I can’t think of anything. I never saw a Disney movie like this.
Interview with a lady (Careful not to ask age in some cases.)
Interviewer: What did you like most about the movie Zootopia?
The lady: It is a cute movie.
Interviewer: Is there anything you didn’t like about the movie or would change? You don’t have to answer this question.
The lady: (Nodding head left to right) I can’t think of anything. It is interesting.
The World of Zootopia and Your Choice
his movie will make you laugh and feel other emotions. The cerebral content moves you to ask:
“How often do people stand up for one another of different backgrounds and cultures?”
And
“How is the oppression (bullying) affecting people to different degrees?”
Yes, though light-hearted jokes were made at the beginning of this article, this animated movie’s message is not directed just at children but also adults.
This article now concludes with what is shown through motive and actions throughout the movie.
